Sportmassage has great benefits such as improved flexibility, reduced risk of injury and a boosted circulation system. You don't have to be an athlete to benefit from sportsmassage. It's beneficial for all people with injuries, chronic pains and restricted range of motion.

In comparison with classical massage sportsmassage is more hands on and can be quite painful when the problemarea is targeted and treated. In other words it's not quite as relaxing as a classical massage might be, but on the other hand it's much more effective when it comes to treating musclerelated problems and pains.

At Ironfistmassage we also use different active release techniques (ART) in our massagesession to at the same time regain a normal moving pattern in the treated area and also break down the built up scartissue in the muscle.

Classical Massage

Classical massage or the often called Swedish massage involves working and acting on the body with pressure. Applying techniques in use are hands, fingers ,elbows and forearms. The purpose of the massage is generally promoted as treatment for stress or pain. The pressure during the massage may vary from client to client. Some prefer more pressure while others mostly want to be able to relax and calm down during the treatment.


Classic massage have shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness and improving functions in patients with osteoarthritis.

It's very important that you as a client make sure to tell us the exact way you want your treatment session to be done and that you keep us updated during the session if the used pressure is suitable for you and your preferences.
